Abstract

In periodontal diseases cytochemical methods for determining the content of cationic protein, myeloperoxidase and alkaline phosphatase can be used as a sensitive and informative criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of various antiinflammatory therapies. Obtained in the course of clinical trials digital cytochemical indicators lead to the conclusion that the treatment of chronic gingivitis after professional oral hygiene use of photodynamic therapy leads to a permanent reduction in the activation of cationic proteins, the subsequent use of the laser radiation enhances the therapeutic effect of photodynamic therapy. Thus, the use in the treatment of gingivitis and combinations photodynamic laser therapy can potentiate the effect of each of these methods.
